Ranges in price: Braces are generally used for younger children (10-14 years of age). Most adolescents diagnosed with scoliosis are prescribed bracing treatment if their curve is between 25 and 40 degrees. The cost of a scoliosis brace varies widely depending upon the type of the brace, manufacturer, and the design, but generally, they can be very pricey and can range from $1,000's to $10,000. Varies: It varies in part based upon the area of the country, the materials involved, and also based upon how much the company that produces the brace charges. In our area, I believe a "typical" scoliosis brace is in the 3500 dollar range for an adolescent with a progressive scoliosis curve in whom we are trying to halt progression so surgery won't be needed. Good question.
