Mri has shown a sebaceous cyst in my lower s5 sacrum, 9mm, they want to check the wall? what will happen? and how did it get so deep, hard and fixed?

Reassure but verify: There can be several benign cystic lesions in this vicinity. Sebaceous cysts are common, due to blocked oil glands. When they accumulate sebum, they get tense and can grow deep instead of out. Congenital cysts can also occur. A smooth wall can help diagnose a benign process, but often surgical removal is considered for proof. Less than a cm. might just get followed though.

Ask the DRs!!!: Is the cyst in the skin where you can see and feel it? If so, why "check the wall"? How will they "check the wall"? Are you scheduled for surgery? ASK THE DR"S!!!
