Infected?: Is it hot and red? If so, it may be infected and may require both antibiotics and surgical excision. See a doctor immediately to ascertain what is going on. Turmeric will not help an acute infection. Besides, turmeric hasn't been definitively proven in human studies to have any specific reliable benefits. Also, not well absorbed without piperine.
