Mri of lower back shows 2 tarlov cysts which are quite big. no symptoms yet. should cysts be got rid of before they enlarge / start to cause problems?

No: If these cysts are not causing symptoms (and they don't commonly cause symptoms) then you don't want to disturb them. They are benign outpouchings of the nerve sheath filled with fluid.

No: Tarlov cysts are common and do not usually cause pain or symptoms.

Leave alone: Generally, they can be left alone. Rarely symptomatic.
