Better follow doc: Sounds like you better take the advice of your doctor. You know there are not many details here but a 30 pound weight loss is concerning

Probably: Ejection Fraction of your GallBladder should be like 30% or more. If you have pain after eating, you should consider it. Confirming gastritis or ulcers with a camera/endoscopy would be useful as well. Sometimes taking out your GB does not fix the problem.
