Added expense: Hard for an 8 year old to swallow a pill. Cheaper drugs in liquid form are available and just as effective?

Not quite enough: 60lbs is 27 kg. Strep dose for azithrmycin is 12 mg / kg. 270+54 = 334 mg per dose per day for 5 days. 250 mg is not enough for strep.
