Oh No, the Gouch,: Colchicine is considered a toxic natural product and as such can cause many symptoms when toxic levels in the blood are reached. One of those symptoms is the effect it has on the bone marrow. It is an effective way to treat the symptoms of gout, especially acute, but dosage must be adjusted for age, concurrent medical conditions as well as any other medications being taken while using colchicine.
