Yes: For treatment PID there is several choices of treatment , Doxy is one of them and further decision depends on culture and sensitivity of swab done on the beginning when diagnosis established. Azithromycin 250 mg daily isa another valid choice . make sure to be recheck later and also pay attention to prevention if STD - most common cause of PID is chlamydia and gonorrhea. Use always condom .

If you are being switched to azithromycin consider 500 mg daily for 1-2 days and may want to add metronidazole 500 mg twice daily. Both for 14 days.
