Azithromycin: Not in a single dose. Antibiotic therapy for any infection is dependent upon the sensitivity of the causative organism to the antibiotic used, the dosages and duration of therapy, the ability of the antibiotic to penetrate to the locale of the infection, and the immune status of the patient as well as the duration of the infection. Under the proper circumstances Azithromycin may be ok here.
