What is the normal count of platelets for a child with luekemia?

Anything: It depends on the type of leukemia and where he is in his treatment. Generally, it is preferred to keep the platelets above 20, 000 even during chemotherapy to avoid bleeding problems. Platelets over 1.5 million may cause clotting problems. Discuss with your oncologist-- they can explain everything.
