A member asked:

I'm 21 and my cornea thickness about 620 in both eye. it is gonna be fine to do lasik or i should wait!? i already have an appointment on friday

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Think about it: 620 is more than enough thickness for most ordinary refractive correction needs. If you basic lens power is 10 diopters or less you could do fine. However there is a tendency for there to be post LASIK return of some of the nearsightedness which is age related So must LASIK surgeons will want you to wait until age 23 before the surgery.
