Post-Lasik dry eye: You have post-lasik dry eye. Use artificial tears, ointment at night, warm compresses, and omega-3 fatty avid supplements. If no improvement, you may need punctal plugs, restasis, or low dose topical steroid. Corneal neuralgia is incredibly rare and is a diagnosis of exclusion.

Your eyes are dry: When you have lasik the process involves cutting a flap in the middle portion of the cornea. This also cuts many of the corneal nerve fibers causing a relative decrease in corneal sensation. This leads to eyes being less sensitive to feelings of dryness and commonly become dry. If this process isn't treated it will lead to chronic light and wind sensitivity. See your doctor.

Ask your doctor: You must continue to work with your doctor. You have symptoms consistent with dry eye. This can occur after lasik but resolves for most people by 6 months after surgery. Stay connected with your doctor to learn the exact cause and follow recommended treatments.
