Factors that the eye: Md will consider are: stability of refraction, amount of astigmatism, corneal thickness, pupil size, any other problems such as glaucoma, retinal tears, keratoconus, etc. Previous herpes simplex of the eye would be problematic.

yes.: Corneal thickness is one of the important factors to be considered in determining if a patient is a candidate for lasik. You need to have enough corneal thickness to permit correction of your prescription while still leaving behind enough tissue to help keep your cornea strong.
