I started taking Metoprolol succ 50mg x 2/day for rapid resting hr on Saturday and now it's Monday. Is it to soon to see a difference in my heart rate? i take 1 at breakfast and 1 at dinner. My rate has been in mid 70's to high 80's?
Is it safe to take metoprolol at night when my heart rate rests at an average of 65bpm? Doesn't metoprolol slow my hr? Taking meds for pvc's only.
Currently taking 25mg of metoprolol er. Heart rate is in mid 90s, Bp sits around 104/74 resting. Should I stop the metoprolol due to low Bp? When I skip a dose my hr stays around 110-120bpm. Are there any meds that lower hr but not Bp?
35 year old male 235 lbs. Been taking 100mg of Losartan once a day. After about 3 weeks on the 100 mg (previously taking 50 for year), no change (e.g. 145/101 range) Dr. added metoprolol 50mg. Heart rate was also tachycardia at rest. Is this too much?
