Pinguecula: Sounds like a pinguecula, which is a deposit/build up on the white part of the eye (sclera) due to uv light and dryness of the eyes. You can use artificial tears, and use a hat and/or sunglasses when outdoors. Not serious unless it grows over the cornea (pterygium) or is constantly getting irritated and red.

No: If no redness or pain or visual problem, this is not anything serious. It is probably a pinguecula, which is very common and not a source of concern, .
