"OK" to be concerned: Iris nevi should be periodically assessed for growth as should any pigmented skin lesions. At your age melanoma iris risk is low. If pigment spot is significant i would recommend careful anterior segment photography to allow comparison over time. Iris melanoma's when they do occur are usually of the lowest grade of malignancy ; thus have a favorable prognosis if surgery is ever indicated.
