A member asked:

I've had the occipital lymph node on right side swollen since i was 18. 25 now. doesn't hurt to touch. also folliculitis that won't heal completely?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Two issues: The lymph node may be due to folliculitis if the affected area is in the vicinity of the node. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion about folliculitis without examining you. It would be prudent to see your primary care doctor or a dermatologist. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex.
