A member asked:

Can folliculitis cause swollen occipital lymp nodes? i recently developed folliculitis and now have swollen occipital lymp nodes. can it cause this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Infection an area drained by a group of lymph nodes will result in the lymph nodes getting larger and may be painful or tender. Treating the folliculits will result in loss of swelling, though it may take a few weeks to months for the lymph nodes to return to normal size.
