No: Many dental offices provide music and/or TV and headphones for their patients while undergoing treatment. As your dentist provides neither, simply ask him or her if it is ok to wear music headphones while you are having treatment.

Not at all: I have a TV in every operatory and some patients still prefer to listen to their own music. Makes the visit easier for both of us.

Not at all: Hopefully you are seeing a Periodontist, a gum/bone specialist, for your surgical care. As long as headphone wires are out of the way, should not be a problem. But check with your individual practitioner for advice. My only concern would be sterility, or lack there-of, so close to the surgical field.
