Possibly: Did your dentist go over the potential side effects of Invisalign before you started? I think you should go back to the dentist and be evaluated.

May be associated: Your malocclusion may be associated with TMJ Dysfunction with symptoms that were, until now, sub clinical. Clear aligners may not be the best treatment choice for you. Discuss your current dilemma with a fully qualified Oethodontic Specialist. You may need a more sophisticated treatment modality.

Its possible: Your deep bite probably had a lot of contact on the front teeth. Invisalign puts a double layer of plastic on the back teeth and opens the bite. Not everyone can tolerate a sudden opening of the bite by several mm. contact is now on the back teeth instead of the front where the feedback comes from to control clenching and grinding

Call for advice: Call the doctor who provided the Invisalign treatment, right away. He or she should be able to help you, with advice over the telephone, adjustments to the tray or anti-inflammatory medications.
