Diet may help, but..: Many adults need 8 to 9 hours of sleep per night to feel well and function optimally during the day. Some teens need even more than that. So, be sure you're getting as much sleep as your body needs. Then, if you're still feeling sluggish, your diet is a great thing to take a look at. Be sure you're eating varied and nutritious foods, with an emphasis on fresh fruits & veggies, and whole grains.

Several causes: for chronic fatigue. One of the most common causes in women is anemia due to heavy menstrual bleeding and/or poor dietary iron intake. Hypothyroidism is also more common in women, and can be accompanied by hair loss and constipation. These can easily be ruled in or out via bloodwork. Depression is also more common in women and often presents with lack of energy and desire. Sleep apnea too.
