No it is not: if you're not getting restful sleep then there is something wrong. It can be a variety of things but a few common ones are: sleep apnea, depression, anemia, and various other ailments. You're a young man and you should get yourself checked out by a good family practitioner who has a broad range of knowledge to consider in your diagnosis.

Need quality sleep: Quantity does not always equate to quality. Sleep can be disrupted by caffeine, alcohol, certain medications, sleep apnea and various medical conditions. If weight and large tonsils are a factor consider a sleep test. Remember "sleep hygiene" Keep bedroom quiet and dark, no reading or TV in bed, don't eat/drink a few hours prior to sleep.

No: Something is amiss. Quality of sleep may be sub-optimal. There might be another issue (anemia, medical condition like diabetes, sleep apnea, mononucleosis, depression, etc ) If this is a chronic issue get checked out.
