Not exactly but...: Armour thyroid contains both T3 (liothyronine) and T4. The T3 (liothyronine) component has a half life of 6-8 hours, whereas the T4 component has a half-life of 7-8 days. Thus, within 3 weeks of stopping it only about 12% of the T4 is still in your body, but it still takes several weeks for your pituitary and hypothalamus to adjust to a change of dose.
