A member asked:

Liver enzyme level alt 54 (slightly elevated). what levels do they reach if a person has hepatitis a, b and c?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Really Variable: In general, with chronic hepatitis c the levels can fluctuate between normal and usually not >300-400. Acute HAV and hbv can have levels in the 1, 000s. Chronic hbv can settle with levels similar to that in hcv. Hav does not cause chronic disease.
