If liver enzyme levels are slightly elevated (alt 54) could this be due to fatty liver?been vaccinated for hep a&b and don't meet hep c risk factors.

Possible: Many things can cause a slight elevation in alt. A repeat level should be done to monitor for trend. If continues abnormal then workup is indicated.

This is good advice. If they are up after 2 weeks off alcohol & meds, you're likely to get bloodwork including checks for viral hepatitis, hemochromatosis, Wilson's, maybe a few others. If all looks good, a new focus on aerobic fitness may put more life into your liver -- and be enjoyable as well.
