Not necessary: If your teeth are straight and there are no spaces, then why go through all that treatment for something that will not help you or change your appearance?

Depends: Depends on the way your other teeth come together. You need to see a fully qualified Orthodontic Specialist who can tell you if it would be better to open the space for restorative treatment, or close the space to eliminate need for prosthesis.
