If a patient suffers a duodenum perforation from ercp,how long must she be kept nil by mouth?any difference if on steroids many years for aiha?

The abdominal surgeon is best qualified to follow this case postoperatively and decide when feeding by mouth is safe. Prolonged steroid treatment may well have contributed to the development of duodenal peptic ulceration but pre and postoperative steroids may be needed(adrenal atrophy)
