Can choledocolithiasis cause liver cirrhosis? the patient got treated within 15 days with ercp. his lfts are now normal with no jaundice. can he still develop cirrhosis of the liver?

Probably not from gallstones now. Has he been diagnosed/treated for hepatitis ever? This increases risk of cirrhosis, discuss with his team.

Chronic biliary obstruction can result in cirrhosis. If the patient did not have irreversible damage prior to relief of obstruction, there is no risk of cirrhosis from one episode. Refrain from alcohol. Wish you good health!
