WART?: It could be a plantar wart, which is treated differently from a corn/callus. They can look very similar. Only a doctor, after seeing it, can know for sure.

Painful callus.: Knowing the exact location on the bottom of the foot would be helpful. Callus on the bottom of the foot usually is found immediately beneath the metatarsal heads. These are painful to walk on and be aground for years. Very few warts last for 9 years without spreading or going away by themselves. To remove all doubt, have your foot evaluated by a specialist.
