No: LPR does not cause lung cancer. Unless the acidity of the reflux is quite high (<3.9 pH) , it probably would not increase the risk for esophageal cancer either. Do realize that reflux can worsen asthma symptoms and aspiration of stomach content can lead to infection in the lung. By the way, is the wheezing associated with breathing problem? Does it occur when breathing in or breathing out?
