Balanced diet: It is better to eat a balanced diet plus regular exercise to lose wt. corn does not have much protein.

Corn and fructose: High fructose corn syrup, a hot button food item now, is what you are getting in your daily consumption of boiled corn. Most likely not such a good idea for weight loss--high in calories. Choose another veggie with a lower carbohydrate/sugar content, and add some variety in your diet! Don't forget to get 30 minutes of exercis, at least, 5-7 days per week!
