A member asked:

Total cholesterol 164, hdl 26 low, ldl 108, trig 152. is my hdl too low. what does that mean? hiw can i raise it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Isolated low: HDL, by itself, does not mean much, if you have no other risk factors. Vigorous exercise is the only way of raising it. There is no medication that will do it. If you have other risk factors, you should ask your doctor to see if your LDL needs attention.
