A member asked:

I would like to ask about my cholesterol count whether i need to take medications or not. age-28, f cholesterol- 232 hdl- 99 ldl- 114 triglyceride- 92?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your lab results do not suggest a need for cholesterol reducing medication.
