Try/ask: for anti-inflammatory medication ( try Advil or Aleve (naproxen) if not allergic) or prednisone ( cortisone) . You may need a dental evaluation for asap.

Get help for TMJ: Believe it or not, ear congestion can be caused by a bad bite! When the jaw closes in the wrong position, many structures, including nerves and ligaments, that are attached to the jaw joint are affected - including ones that pull on the eustachian tube, like Pinto's ligament and related nerves. A dental orthosis built to a relaxed neuromuscular position may help
