May be OK: Not uncommon to have a tonsil larger than the other. If it keeps getting bigger then should remove for diagnosis. Asymptomatic large tonsils need no treatment if they aren't affecting swallowing or nighttime airway blockage causing sleep apnea symptoms. Remove if constant pain not resolved with antibiotics, 6-7 infections in one year, or 3-5 infections in each of 3-5 years.
