Re check: The tonsil infection should be diagnosed by a physician and treated with antibiotics for a bacterial cause. In the meantime, monitor temperature, provide fluids and soothing liquids. Avoid acidic foods and drinks. If she is already on antibiotics, after two days there should be no fever and the pain associated should begin to diminish. Please follow up with you Pediatrician.
