If obstructing: Removal only if she has problem breathing or recurrent tonsillitis./ ear infections.

No: If she is in pain and one tonsil is bigger then yes- she needs to be seen. If you are worried- then yes she needs to be seen. Sometimes one is bigger than the other...A visit with your pediatrician and or ENT will give you peace of mind and that is worth a lot.
