Do you mean: mild sclerosis of the SI joints? Depending on other clinical/imaging factors, this could either have very little significance, or could be a manifestation(sacro-iliitis) of a variety of arthritic processes. There would be no surgical option for this.

Hi, there are surgical options for the SI joints such as iliosacral fusion. However, before considering surgery, u need to be sure the pain is from the SI joints. U may need further imaging, diagnostic SI joint injection, arthritis work up...etc. furthermore, there are options other than surgery including arthritis meds (if u are determined to have arthritis), PT, OMT, and pain injections.Dr. Sabb
