Not unusual to have: Gallbladder colic type of pain for 4-8 weeks after removal, until your system gets accustomed to absence of gallbladder. If your pain persists beyond that, then it could be stones that were hidden in the common duct, or another cause of pain. So discuss with your surgeon if the pain persists.
