Not unusual to have: Gallbladder colic type of pain for 4-8 weeks after removal, until your system gets accustomed to absence of gallbladder. If your pain persists beyond that, then it could be stones that were hidden in the common duct, or another cause of pain. So discuss with your surgeon if the pain persists.

I have had stomach problems my whole life. This last November I had my gallbladder taken out as it wasn't working at all and that was thought to be the reason of my pain all these years. From January to late June I was pain free, but not any more.
I just had gallbladder surgery 6 weeks ago and i just had a blood test and my placelet was 405 is that reason to be concern?
