TFCC Tears: The longer you have pain, the more likely that surgery is an option. Without more information, it is a blind guess if you will need surgery. Be certain to see an expert with experience in wrist injuries. TFCC ( triangular fibrocartilage complex) injuries can be difficult.

TFCC tear: These injuries do take a long time to heal. Not all of them are amenable to surgical fixation. You need to consult with a hand specialist who performs these types of surgeries, he will determine if the lesion is amenable to surgery and whether surgery is appropriate at this time. In general, 10 weeks is long enough of nonsurgical care to consider a surgical option.
