Anxiety: A "restless tongue"(RT) is not a medical condition, but rather a symptom of anxiety or other psychiatric disorder. It is an oral compulsive habit similar to nail biting. TMJ is also associated with anxiety, depression and other psychiatric disorders. RT could be a symptom of OCD. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) would be helpful.
