Orofacial pain: When dislocation does occur, the patient is in obvious distress with pain that increases at each attempt to close his/her jaw. Disc: There's a cartilaginous disc in each jaw joint. If the disc becomes displaced it can adversely alter jaw joint function, preventing teeth from concluding properly. Call your Dentist immediately.
