Don't count calories: Counting calories is not the answer! The quality of the food you eat and physical activity is more important. You can lose weight and be fatter while gaining weight and be leaner. Limit sugar from your diet, include lean meats (grain fed, free range, no antibiotics), eliminate processed food and include health sources of fat (no trans). And exercise!
