Can veggies have more calories than meat?

Rarely: This of course depends on the size of the portion but for a given weight almost all vegetables have less calories per unit weight than meat. All of these should be considered in the context of a nutritionally balanced diet.

Doubtful.: Meat has a higher caloric density than vegetables because of the higher fat content. Olives and avocados may come close because they actually contain a high percentage of fat.
