Cardio exercise: That wouldn't be the most ideal way to lose weight. In fact, lifting weights generally builds muscle and that can actually add some weight. However, this isn't necessarily bad because you are replacing fat with muscle. I prefer cardio first and if you have extra time you can lift weights. Cardio would be the best way to lose weight in general.
