What is a good way to tighten my abs without a tummy tuck?

Planks: Try planks. You hold yourself as if you were going to do push ups but don't go down. Hold as long as you can, then you can work on side planks to define the obliques.

Exercise: Depending on the amount of sagging abdominal muscles and fat, abdominal crunches can tighten the the abdominal muscle and help the hanging belly. To some degree they can also reduce the fat around the belly area. A visit to your familly physician can help this evaluation.

Diet and Exercise: Good old-fashioned diet and exercise is the best way to “contour" the abdominal wall. However, after pregnancy and/or weight gain/loss ( and despite best efforts through diet and exercise) patients may be left with loose skin and or abdominal wall muscle spreading ( diastasis). These patients may be excellent candidates for tummy tuck surgery.

Exercise good.: Excercise can tighten the abs; however, it cannot tighten the skin or the rectus sheath that supports the abdominal muscles. Excerise is a good compliment to a tummy tuck, but it cannot do what a tummy tuck can do.

Options: To tighten the muscles, it's back to old-fashioned exercise. Planks, sit-ups, sit-backs, crunches, pilates, yoga, and various other exercises have all been recommended. For the skin, there's little to do to tighten it without surgery. Some of the newer radiofrequency (rf) machines like thermage, velashape, venus freeze, etc. May help a little. For the fat, you could try coolsculpting.

Core training: Core training can improve abdominal wall strength without surgery. Exercise regimens such as pilates and yoga are excellent ways of accomplishing this with little impact.
