Propofol is safe: propofol is an extremely safe drug when administer by an anesthesiologist. It is commonly used in short procedures such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy. In my centers we do 15 to 20 procedures daily and all our patients love our propofol anesthetic. Superior than using combination of versed and fentanyl. Propofol is shorter acting which translate into quicker awakening
