Choice of sedative: Amnestic is a discussion with the anesthesiologist. Usually colonoscopy is elective, and unless actively bleeding from unknown source, can be deferred while pregnant, and choice of conscious or genreal anesthesia discussed with pregnancy in mind if you are bleeding.
