Not ectopic: I'm guessing you had some concerning symptoms for your doctor to recommend laparoscopy even after your pregnancy hormone levels went negative. Was the tube abnormal looking on ultrasound? It sounds like it may have been a "chemical pregnancy" or a "tubal abortion", both of which will resolve without intervention in most cases. Good luck with your efforts.

Confusing story: The story you tell is confusing so tough to comment. Typically when ectopic pregnancy the HCG level is positive even if low. Suggest you discuss with surgeon to review the all the facts. Good luck
