Ibuprofen: Ibuprofen (600 mg) 3 x day will be the best. Avoid any pressure on that area. If too much to tolerate, find a hospital that has an Oral Surgery residency program and see if they can treat you today. Good Luck.

Not much: For relief you need to be physically treated. Advil/Ibuprofen/Motrin, taken with care not to exceed dosage printed on package, may take the edge off. If your Dentist does not have available time until Monday, perhaps an Oral Surgeon, Endodontist, hospital ER with Dental Resident, Dental School, or another General Dentist can be of help. Feel better soon.

Emergency care: I would call around and find a dentist to see you sooner, at least for this emergency. We can almost always fit emergency patients in the same day if necessary. Other than that, take what you would normally take for a headache. You can also call the dentist with whom you have an appointment for advice.

IBU/tylenol: depending on allergies or medical issues I'd advise you take 800mg ibuprofen and 1000mg tylenol (acetaminophen) (max dose 4000mg per day) every 6-8hrs until monday. No one is open on saturdays??
